Spring, 2017

Hello, friends --

Is there anything more beautiful than Spring in the Napa Valley?  With all the rain we've had this past winter, everything is really popping!  Spring time usually means more real estate activity, and this year is no exception. See the Real Estate Roundup below for the latest St. Helena stats.

Our social media section, "Very Social!" , is now live on our website.  Check out our Instagram, Houzz, Facebook and Pinterest feeds for new listings, favorite local spots, and home and garden inspiration.

We hope you find the newsletter format useful, not only for learning about the latest real estate trends, but also as a means of discovering new businesses and events in the Napa Valley.

As always, I appreciate your friendship and your business. Please feel free to contact me at any time to discuss your real estate needs.

Cheers,

We are seeing homes that are priced right selling within 5% of the asking price. Although the average home sales price and number of homes on the market are down for the last 90 days, activity is picking up now that we are moving into warmer weather.

What's New?

Congrats to our friend, Jake Scheideman, on the opening of his new bike shop, Napa River Velo!  The new shop is just a stone’s throw from the Napa Valley Vine Trail, or rent a bike and head to Kennedy Park, which is about two miles from the store.

Like probably everyone else in St. Helena, we have been anxiously awaiting the opening of The Charter Oak, a new restaurant at 1050 Charter Oak.  At the helm are Chef Christopher Kostow, Nathaniel Dorn and Chef Katianna Hong. No doubt this talented team will knock it out of the park with what's billed as a casual dining experience.  We're sure their innovative approach to elegant simplicity will elevate every dish.

As an Executive Board Member of the St. Helena Public Schools Foundation & Endowment Trust, I encourage you to donate to our annual GiveBIG! fundraiser. Funds raised go towards enhancing the core curriculum - while supporting programs in art, music, literature, science, math, language, and history -  at all four of our public schools.  As added encouragement, I will MATCH donations up to a total of $2,400 made by March 24th.  Just put "Joel Toller Match" in the comment section when you make your donation online, or write it in the memo section of your check.  Thank you for supporting public education!

Arts in April is just around the corner!  This year it promises to be an exciting countywide celebration of the arts with over 90 events.  The county will host five central city events that celebrate each town's unique scene.  View the full list of events.  Here is just a sampling:
