Real Estate Roundup (As of August 1, 2016)

The average market price has either stayed the same or risen from 12 months ago.

The amount of homes sold is consistent each month.

We have fewer homes listed now than we did 3 months ago.

Homes are spending a little longer on the market at the moment and, combined with fewer total listings, this suggests a slight slowdown. If we see a decrease in the average market price and listings increase in both “volume” and the number of days on the market, these will be strong indicators that we’re moving towards a buyer’s market.

Napa County is known for its fine wines and gorgeous landscape, but it’s also a lively region that rewards entrepreneurship and hard work. Wood Fiber Clay embodies a little bit of all these elements. What started out as an online-only store showcasing aunt and niece duo, Lisa and Kelley’s favorite independent makers and unique vintage finds, has expanded to include a pop-up location at Oxbow Market in downtown Napa. Stop by anytime in August and peruse their handpicked collection of local and independent ceramics, fine textiles, and one-of-a-kind treasures.

Two Birds, One Stone is an Asian-inspired restaurant that opened recently just north of St. Helena. The two managing partners, chefs Douglas Keane, of Cyrus and Quince; and Sang Yoon, of Los Angeles restaurants Lukshon and Father’s Office, joined forces to bring together Japanese flavors with California’s wine-country cuisine in a mouth-watering alliance. Located in the renovated Freemark Abbey Winery off Highway 29, the complex and mouth-watering flavors at Two Birds, One Stone are already a local favorite.
